About the Practitioners
Melinda Joy Miller founded the Shambhalla Institute in 1991. She is a master in feng shui, geomancy and reiki, with an extensive background as a sensory integration therapist, cultural anthropologist and medicine woman. She began her study of geomancy in 1974 and continued her taining in feng shui with Master Lin Yun. Her work has been recognized by National Public Radio, Feng Shui for Modern Living and Modern Bride, and has twice graced the cover of the Philadelphia Daily News.
Melinda Joy has hosted the Feng Shui Hotline on WCHE Radio, produced nine feng shui and environmental conferences and gained worldwide publicity for choosing the new location for the Philadelphia Eagle's sports arena in 2000.
Kim Colwell, owner of Kim Colwell Design, BFA graduate from NYU Tisch and second generation feng shui master has a conscious take on interior designer and feng shui. She has been interviewed by Pasadena, Shape, and C magazines, as well as Fox and the Kathleen Show. Her work has been featured in JCK Luxury, Lucky, Angeleno, Rapaport Diamond Report, WWD, InStore and National Jeweler magazines.
Both Melinda Joy and Kim facilitate consultations, training and retreats in Los Angeles, Vancouver and Orlando.
